Definitions.
Some web hosting companies guarantee their uptime, but offer no compensation
if they fail to meet it. That being the case, they have no reason to bring
your web site back up in a timely manner.
We "put our money where our mouth is," as they say. That means that should
any of our servers experience downtime, we will do our best to get them back
up and running as quickly and as efficiently as possible. In fact, New Ideas Web Services, Inc.
is so confident in our web servers that we offer our web hosting Clients
a 99.5% Uptime Guarantee.
With New Ideas Web Services, Inc., all of our Web Hosting Accounts include our 99.5%
Uptime Guarantee.
If your web site downtime is more than 45 consecutive minutes anytime in
a month, we will credit your Account with a 10% web hosting discount for
that month.
Downtime refers to our network equipment being down. Because we do not control
the entire Internet, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to access
your web site due to circumstances beyond our control. The 0.5% allows us
time for normal server reboots, security patches, upgrades, repairs, and
any minor unforeseen events that may arise.
To make a claim and receive credit, simply contact us with your name, Domain
Name, and show documented proof of web site downtime. When we verify this,
you will receive your credit. We may verify performance via a third party
monitoring service that measures uptime from multiple sources. [Sometimes
an ISP may experience technical difficulties with their servers, or there
may be a routing problem between your ISP and New Ideas Web Services, Inc. Routing
problems may make server communication with certain uplines difficult or
impossible. Of course, we cannot be responsible for such situations as they
are beyond our control. Our monitoring services can effectively test and
determine when any of our web servers are not available. They use different
testing systems from different parts of the United States to achieve this,
whereas an ISP normally uses one retrieval point in your local area.]
Please allow up to 30 days for claim to be verified and processed. All claims
must be submitted within 30 days of alleged downtime.
* Accounts terminated because of Terms of Service (TOS) violations
do not qualify. The following are not considered in with "web hosting": Domain
Name Registration fees, setup fees, SSL Certificates, payment processing
fees, Add-ons, overage fees, other services (such as Web Design or Search
Engine Submission), software, software licenses, and anything else not included
as part of your general Web Hosting Account. DOS attacks on the web server
containing your web site do not qualify. Our liability shall not exceed amount
paid. Certain other restrictions may apply.
We have almost always had an average 99.9% uptime on all servers.
